Making Mind My Mind

Shortlisted for the 92th Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, Mind My Mind has come a very long way. The first idea originates from 2009, and production started back in 2013. This making-of includes an in-depth interview with writer/director Floor Adams about the ideas behind the film, early artwork, shot progressions, behind-the-scenes footage of voice actors and foley recordings, and a selection of Floor's personal videos of key moments that happened during the production. Gaza

This feature length investigation by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit exposes Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip through the medium of photos and videos posted online by Israeli soldiers themselves during the year long conflict. The I-Unit has built up a database of thousands of videos, photos and social media posts. Where possible it has identified the posters and those who appear. The material reveals a range of illegal activities, from wanton destruction and looting to the demolition of entire neighbourhoods and murder. The film also tells the story of the war through the eyes of Palestinian journalists, human rights workers and ordinary residents of the Gaza Strip. And it exposes the complicity of Western governments – in particular the use of RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus as a base for British surveillance flights over Gaza.

Pompeii: The Origins

For the first time, and thanks to new archaeological excavations, this documentary reveals how Pompeii, the pride of its builders, developed, from its origins at the end of the seventh century BC until the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The use of CGI and 3D mapping provides a very clear view of this ancient superstructure and eight centuries of urban evolution.
