Overview

When her estranged father dies, Ava Reyes returns to her childhood home in Oklahoma to help her mother Sandra plan the funeral. What begins as grief work becomes something older and harder, a reckoning with years of silence, a Thanksgiving door that never should have closed, and the question of whether love given conditionally is still love at all.
