The Swiss Confederation holds a special position not only politically and historically – in particular, its scenic diversity is something really special: majestic mountains, lush green valleys, craggy rock landscapes and Mediterranean lakes all close together in one small geographical location. Switzerland is proud of its distinction and autonomy, reflected amongst other things in its different cantons and linguistic regions. Each episode in our series “Wild Faces of Switzerland“ seeks to do justice to this diversity.
Swiss Railway Journeys is a captivating series showcasing the beautiful Swiss countryside as seen from its immaculate railways. First stop is Canton Ticino where visitors can admire the Italian influenced architecture before travelling high into the Alps through densely wooded valleys to marvel at this spectacular mountain range. Until the advent of railway engineering in the 1880's it was impossible for travellers to cross the Alpine backbone from Northern Europe to Italy during winter. Now the route can be seen in its entirety from the dramatic scenery from the heart of the Confederation to the Mediterranean in the south. Also on the itinerary is the glamorous resort of St Moritz, the breathtaking Albula Line with its lofty viaducts spiral tunnels and deep gorges and the beautiful Entelbuch valley. "The Pressure Game - In the Heart of the Swiss Nati" is a docutainment series with six episodes of 30 minutes each. The focus is on the Swiss men's national soccer team - the Nati. The series is produced by the Zurich-based film production stories AG in co-production with SRG and freshcom GmbH and in cooperation with the Swiss Football Association, which allows the camera team free access behind the scenes. The series will be broadcast nationally from March 21 on all SRG SSR channels and via the streaming platform Play Suisse. International exploitation is also planned. The series is based on an idea by Simon Helbling and Samy Ebneter. Simon Helbling is the director.
